I now stock the Simply Earth Essential Oils. I really like this brand as an aromatherapist because they have a "simply pure" promise. I am the most skeptical person ever about promises from companies that state their products are pure. However, I see something in these oils that fit all of the definitions of a pure essential oil. When I see a company put out a huge bottle of essential oil, there is a red flag. This is because pure essential oils are not cheap to harvest! They come from all different areas of the world and are distilled to acquire the precious oils. Most oils are steam distilled. The ones that originate from roots or resin are likely CO2 distilled. Rose absolute oil is expensive because it takes several pounds of petals to make one drop! Therefore, so called essential oils in big bottles must have fillers in them. They do not have the therapeutic benefits of a pure essential oil.
Simply Earth essential oil is ethically sourced from small farms around the world. They have no additives, and finally they are transparent on their website about the chemical components in the oils. As an aromatherapist, I look at documents called GC/MS reports. These reports are made by an independent lab. The lab tests all of the oils sent for testing and gives the percentages of therapeutic chemical components of the oil. Simply Earth sends a sample of their batch to the independent testing lab and has it analyzed. This is how I am sure that this company has pure essential oils.
Check out my store for the oils that I have in stock now. As I add new oils, I will try to add a recipe using that oil to my blog.
Blessings!
