My family consists of my husband, Tim, and I. We have 2 fur babies named Snickles and Duke. They (not me) make a mess!! I never knew how I kept this house clean while working full time! Well....we had a cleaning person. Makes a difference!
Anyway, I challenge you to look at your cleaning supplies and note the ingredients. Once you have the names, go here...

It gave me a great pause to do this research for my family. For instance, another fur baby momma sent me an article on the toxins in a treat that we were using. The treats went in the trash.
This and other research has led me to try and substitute my cleaning products for non-toxic alternatives. I have actually found them to work better!!! One of my "go to" essential oils for cleaning products is Tea Tree Oil. Tea Tree Oil contains anti-fungal and antiviral components. It is used for other things as well as cleaning products, but I will keep the scope of this post just to cleaning products. Here is a great recipe from my instructor in the Aromahead Certification program, Andrea Butje. She is a pioneer and one of the most learned people that I know in this field.
Antifungal Cleaning Spray
15 oz. water
1 tablespoon white vinegar
40 drops Tea Tree essential oil
30 drops Geranium essential oil
40 drops of Palmarosa essential oil
Put all of the above in a 16 oz. spray bottle. You will notice the difference in the cleaning and in your pride that you are not inhaling the toxins that are prevalent in our cleaning products.
I will be stocking my store with these three oils and will put them up as soon as they arrive.
